GEFFC’s mission is that its advisers, members, and various community members and organizations join in order to promote ecological awareness and fly fishing skills.

The club’s philosophy is that fly fishing is more than just a recreational activity; fly fishing within a local stream or river is a way to celebrate life.

The club’s goals and objectives are to provide students the opportunity to learn fly fishing skills, to examine one’s impact upon the environment, and to enable students to acquire fishing friends.

GEFFC currently has no affiliation with a parent organization but it has had support from Greenbrier Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited and from Serenity Now Outfitters.

Club activities include hosting guest speakers, examining various media that promotes fly fishing skills and travel, fly rod casting, and fly tying.

Prerequisites for membership include a student’s completing an application and being selected. No dues, fees, or related activities are required. GEFFC has a student president selected by the advisers.

Not long ago Bass Pro Shops donated a lot of cool fly-fishing gear. We would like to thank them for everything. Check out their link below!
